We had the incredible honor of photographing the wedding of two amazing people, Cecily and Jerod at South Laurel Farms, and I can’t wait to share all the beautiful moments from their special day. As someone who grew up in the same church as Cecily, it made this day even more special for me. Seeing her tie the knot with Jerod, a guy who complements her perfectly, felt like capturing a piece of our shared history on a day that was all about love and new beginnings.
Number One Tip for Future Phocus Couples to Consider About The Wedding Day:
Make sure you have a list or know what photos you're wanting taken. Phocus does an amazing job on getting everything done. When they're taking photos don't ask tell them what you are wanting. As tim said to me he's there for me (bride) I don't have to ask for what I want.
The venue, South Laurel Farms, was absolutely stunning. It's rustic charm provided the perfect backdrop for their vows. W e absolutely loved photographing in this beautiful venue and cant wait to go back. Seriously, every corner of the venue was a photographer's dream!
What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video?
I don't think I have a specific moment I'm really excited to see. I honestly never knew if I'd ever get married and to finally found my forever person I can't wait to see all of the photos. -Cecily

How did you two meet? (Tell us all those little details!)
We both swiped right on tinder. Our first date lasted 9 hours of talking. We went to dinner and bowled as well but most of our time was just sitting down and talking with each other. Literally we had gone thru all of each other's past, present, and futures.
Tell us about THE dress!
What made you fall in love?Absolutely funny story with my dress. I knew I wanted a Juliet dress. I had looked all over the web and saved pictures. When we went dress shopping we got all types of dresses. I honestly never had the moment of oh thia is the dress. My maid, Matron, and mom all had said I smiled just a little more in this specific dress. It wasn't until after I got the dress and started going thru the pictures I had saved and realized it was the dress!! Every single picture I had saved was the same.
Cecily's wedding dress was nothing short of stunning! Made of lace, it featured elegantly flowing sleeves that added a touch of romance to her look. The gown was 100% made for Cecily! The lace detailing brought a timeless elegance, perfectly complementing the rustic charm of South Laurel Farms. She truly looked like a vision of bridal beauty!
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
Take Forever - Cooper Alan Jerod actually chose this song. He was scrolling through FB videos and came across it and felt it actually fit our story. I fell in love with it immediately and it so happened to be an artist I had followed on Tik Tok and had no idea he actually produced music.

What was the most emotional part of the day for you?
Saying our vows and committing ourselves to each other forever. -Cecily

What is ONE moment of your day that you will always remember?
How it all came finally came together and everything we had been waiting for finally was here. 3 years of dating and 1 1/2 years of planning.
Favorite part of the Phocus Experience?
That I was constantly reminded that they were there for me and not the other way around. The fact that a friend I grew up with got to not only be there for one of the most important days of my life but also got to play a huge part of it.
