Number One Tip for Future Phocus Couples to Consider About The Wedding Day:

What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video?
Everyone’s reactions that I missed.- Abigail
What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video?
Pictures from the ceremony and after, with the wedding party and families. They are the ones who we’re closest with and want the best pictures with. -Matthew
How did you two meet? (Tell us all those little details!)
Abigail was a bartender at world of beer. Matt had just moved to Pensacola for the navy. Him and his roommates came into WOB for beer, wings and football. Abigail was adamant about not dating military or anyone with a mustache, but Matt won her over. He brought her salted caramel chocolates to work one day. Then he invited her over to dinner at his house where he cooked her steak with cheesy polenta topped with truffle oil. He paired it with a French red wine since Abigail’s last name is French. And the rest is history.
Tell us about THE dress! What made you fall in love?
The simplicity and the elegance. I loved the detail of the lace top. The lace wasn’t a traditional lace pattern. I loved the train. It was timeless to me.
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
Falling like the stars - James arthur. The words meant so much to us.
Describe what you felt when you saw your bride on your wedding day:
Pure happiness. I hadn’t seen her all day and I couldn’t believe how beautiful she looked. -Matthew
Describe what you felt when you saw your groom on your wedding day:
Peace. I had cried multiple times before the wedding started, but the second I saw Matt, I felt peace. I felt like all my anxiety about the day just melted away. -Abigail
What was the most emotional part of the day for you? (bride's response)
All of it. But probably when everyone was lining up for the exit, Matt and I shared a private dance to Biblical. We took in the day and I felt so happy to be his wife. -Abigail
What was the most emotional part of the day for you?
The private dance when everyone left for the exit. The song played is very emotional and the moment finally sunk in that we were a married couple. -Matthew
What is ONE moment of your day that you will always remember?
Seeing Matt at the end of the aisle. I will never forget the feeling of absolute bliss. He is my peace.
Favorite part of the Phocus Experience?
All of it!! Y’all made the day so easy. You gave us tons of direction, which took a lot of pressure off of us. Y’all were hyping us up all day, which helped us feel so comfortable in front of the camera.
