Talk about a stunning ceremony. Miguel and Nicole had such an intimate ceremony at St. Rosa Lima in Milton, Florida. Being wedding photographers based out of Pensacola, Florida, we get the chance to work at so many different venues especially weddings at Sowell Farms ...Not to mention we get to capture all the beautiful ceremonies. Some small intimate ones, some on the family land that the bride has dreamt of her entire life, and some in a giant Catholic Church like Nicole envisioned. The tall ceilings, gorgeous architecture and artistic design made for the perfect backdrop. It was simply breathtaking.
Number one tip for future phocus couples to consider about the wedding day?
Time is warped. Things go by so fast but the day is very long. Make sure you don’t over-plan the wedding. Little details don’t matter in the moment.
What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video?
The veil photo and watching the wedding ceremony again in video.- Nicole

The very cool grass photo -Miguel
How did you two meet? (Tell us all those little details!)
We met online through a Christian dating website.
Tell us about THE dress! What made you fall in love? I loved how flowy and sophisticated it was. It was super romantic and I felt so beautiful in it. I never felt self conscious wearing the dress.
One of my favorite parts of the day is OBVIOUSLY the moments we have with our couples alone. No rush, no stress...just them and a camera. When it came down to photographing Nicole and Miguel, all I can say was that they were naturals. We wondered in the open field and cuddled by the calm lake. It was perfect.
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
That’s why- by Troy Cartwright It spoke what we felt towards each other. We narrowed it down to two songs and Miguel and I practiced dancing to both songs in our living room. That song made him start tearing up and we knew it was our song. -Miguel
Describe what you felt when you saw your bride on your wedding day:
All of the pain and disappointment I experienced throughout my life was all explained as I saw the most beautiful creation he made and I felt all his love for me.-Miguel
Describe what you felt when you saw your groom on your wedding day:
I saw my husband and best friend. When I saw him I wanted to run up the aisle and embrace him. When I saw him standing there I couldn’t stop smiling because I was so happy. Everyone else faded away and it was just him and I. God truly blessed me with him. -Nicole
What was the most emotional part of the day for you?
When everyone had left the reception and our DJ played miguel and I’s first dance song again. We danced in our empty reception room with ourselves and the DJ. All the emotions I felt throughout the day came out. I was able to talk to Miguel while we had that intimate moment and I started happy crying. -Nicole

Favorite part of the Phocus Experience?
How helpful and easy going they were. We felt very comfortable taking pictures. Tim did such a great job making sure we took time to ourselves and truly enjoyed the small moments. You guys were absolutely AMAZING! Tim was a great photographer/seamstress/wedding coordinator.
We always love hearing what our couples thought of us on their wedding day. Our goal is to leave with them feeling well taken care of, and more than just some couple we've photographed. Getting the chance to photograph Nicole and Miguel was just that. We connected with them and honestly just had the best day.
Congrats to these two lovebirds!
